Data Sovereignty
Notus is built on the principle of absolute data ownership. Any information you create, whether it's personal notes, professional credentials, or financial details, belongs solely to you. We believe that your data should remain under your total control at all times.
Pure Local Storage
We do not operate any external servers or cloud databases. All your data—including text, images, videos, and documents—is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. This means your information is never transmitted to us, and we have no technical means to access, read, or collect your data.
Biometric Security
The "Secure Card" feature utilizes Apple's Local Authentication (FaceID/TouchID). This process is handled entirely by the iOS Secure Enclave, a hardware-based isolated manager. Notus never accesses, sees, or stores your biometric data. The authentication results are processed locally to grant or deny access to your secured cards.
Device Permissions
Notus requests specific permissions to function effectively, but only uses them within the local context of your device:
* Media Access: Used only to attach images or videos to your cards locally.
* File System: Used only to store, manage, and retrieve documents within the app's sandboxed environment.
* Location Services: Used only if you choose to attach a physical address to a card to generate navigation links.
User-Controlled Sharing
Sharing is 100% manual and initiated by the user. When you use the "One Tap to Share" feature, Notus only facilitates the packaging of your selected data for the iOS Share Sheet. You have full control over the destination app (e.g., WhatsApp, Mail) and the final recipient.
No Tracking & Analytics
Notus does not include any third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or advertising identifiers. We do not monitor how you use the app, how many cards you create, or what type of information you store. Your usage patterns remain entirely private.
